The inspiration for this collection came from a wooden bowl our founder's father made by hand when he was just twelve years old. Striking in its simplicity, the bowl has two deep scored lines around the top of the bowl. Adding that same decoration to this stoneware collection elevates these shapes and glazes into the epitome of understated beauty.

This collection was designed in collaboration with the classically trained and highly accomplished British ceramicist, Daniel Smith. Using a clay that is expertly mixed results in an impossibly thin and almost translucent clay body, which works perfectly in conjunction with Canvas Home's transparency glazes. This combination imbues each piece with a delicate subtlety of tone, much like that of a watercolor palette.
